Abstract
Standard medical management of acute pancreatitis includes measures to relieve pain and maintain intravascular volume, nasogastric aspiration of gastric contents, and prompt recognition and treatment of complications. Despite many years of investigation, no specific drug or nonoperative procedure is of proven benefit in this common disease.Entities:
