**By September 2017, there were 4271 da Vinci Surgical Systems installed worldwide, including 2770 (65%) in USA, 719 (17%) in Europe, 561 (13%) in Asia, and 221 (5%) in the rest of the world. Whilst the installed base grew 13% (year-on-year) in the first quarter of 2018 to 4528 units, this number is expected to be much higher at 4806 by the end of 2018.
