Abstract
Computed tomography (CT)-guided interventional radiology uses minimally invasive techniques to perform diagnostic and therapeutic medical procedures. CT commonly is used for interventional image guidance because it is readily available and can be performed with a wide range of equipment. This article introduces the general principles, equipment, and applications of selected CT-guided interventional procedures including biopsy, fluid aspiration, drainage, and ablation. ©2019 American Society of Radiologic Technologists.Mesh:
