Abstract
The structural changes induced in the myelin sheath by n-pentane nerve impulse blockage were studied by small-angle X-ray diffraction using a linear position-sensitive detector. The results show that the thickness of the myelin period lattice increases from 170 to 180 A during n-pentane treatment.Entities:
