Molecular Treasures of Cancer Cell Lines.

Abstract

Multifaceted characterizations of human cancer cell lines hold huge treasures for cancer research and therapeutic opportunities. Two recent publications in Nature and Nature Medicine describe the expanded Cancer Cell Line Encyclopedia (CCLE), which spans the genome, transcriptome, epigenome, proteome and metabolome, thereby providing copious resources for cancer research.
