Abstract
Introduction: Children younger than 2 years have an increased risk of complications associated with tuberculosis (TB) due to the immaturity of the innate and adaptive immune response. We aimed to identify TB clinical presentations and outcomes as well as risk factors for complications in this age group. Materials andEntities:

TB, tuberculosis; IQR, interquartile range; VFR, visiting friends and relatives; BCG, bacillus Calmette-Guérin vaccine; TST, tuberculin skin test; XR, X-ray; CT, computed tomography; MDR-TB, multi-drug resistant tuberculosis; DST, drug susceptibility testing.
It is statistically significant the association between the presence of active TB case at home and the exclusively pulmonary TB forms (p = 0.03), the younger age (p = 0.002), less symptomatology (p < 0.001), and less TB related complications (p = 0.003) when compared to the cases with no active TB case at home.
