Assessment of quality of life in chronic diseases.

B Jönsson1.

Abstract

Quality of life refers to a person's subjective perceptions of his or her well-being, and undertaking an assessment of quality of life involves a number of methodological considerations. Indeed, a number of studies have applied methods for such assessments in chronic disease. These studies are relevant as a means of optimizing treatment and for establishing priorities on health care resources.
