Abstract
OBJECTIVE. Thoracoscopic surgical resection of small peripheral pulmonary nodules can be challenging, and often preoperative localization techniques are needed to avoid conversion to open thoracotomy. In this article, we show the feasibility and benefits of performing intraoperative percutaneous microcoil localization with C-arm cone-beam CT in a hybrid operating room immediately before video-assisted thoracoscopic surgery for wedge resection of a small pulmonary nodule. CONCLUSION. This technique can provide safe and accurate localization while minimizing patient discomfort and thus enhancing the patient's experience.Entities:
