Figure 3.In the BIO group, the incidence of infectious complications was significantly higher in patients with poor nutritional status than in those with normal nutritional status (27% vs 8%, P = 0.03). In the control group, the incidence of infectious complications was nonsignificantly higher in patients with poor nutritional status than in those with normal nutritional status (22% vs 11%, P = 0.21). These findings were confirmed in subgroup analyses based on the IBD subtype (UC and CD). P values: poor nutritional status vs normal nutritional status.
