Ectopic thyroid gland and thyroxine-binding globulin excess.

Abstract

A female infant with an ectopic thyroid gland and thyroxine-binding globulin excess is described. The infant presented clinically with hypothyroidism while biochemically a falsely high serum thyroxine level posed therapeutic problems.
