Abstract
The principles and practice of aneasthesia for patients having coronary bypass grafts are discussed. The essential basic principle is to restrict myocardial oxygen requirement while maintaining oxygen supply. The pathophysiology of coronary artery disease and the pharmacological principles for successful management of the cardiac patient through operation and whole body perfusion for coronary bypass grafts are summarized.Entities:
