Abstract
Asthma is the most common chronic disease of childhood in developed countries, with a continually increasing prevalence. The paradigm of asthma control is shifting from disease management to primary prevention, and the modification of numerous host and external factors have been proposed as methods to prevent recurrent wheeze and asthma in children, some with promising preliminary results. This article reviews potential asthma prevention strategies and identifies future areas of research.Entities:
