Abstract
Dentistry is a profession with many stakeholders and contributors. In the optimal scenario, the collective focus should be on the patient. A significant opportunity awaits any dental team ready to best meet patients' needs and desires through value-based dentistry (VBD), in which patient requests and concerns in the context of cost of care are the priority. In exploring how a patient makes the decision to visit a practice, how to capture the value a practice can create, and how to assess quality and cost, the article explains how a practice can work to attain VBD.Entities:
