Abstract
Severe hallux abductovalgus deformity with dislocation and contracture at the first metatarsophalangeal joint is difficult to manage, especially in the presence of concomitant, long-standing rheumatoid arthritis. This article highlights a novel surgical technique that may be used to successfully address this challenging condition while minimizing the likelihood of complications.
