Abstract
Discoid meniscus (DM) is currently considered as a spectrum of disorders in meniscal shape and stability. Diagnosing DM on MR imaging has clinical and surgical implications. When diagnosing a DM on MR imaging, identification of tears and signs of instability is of utmost importance. The literature has focused on the diagnosis of DM based on morphology as complete, incomplete, and Wrisberg type, the latter lacking posterior attachments. This article reviews the relevant anatomy, histology, and clinical presentation of DM in the pediatric population.Entities:
