Abstract
Rapid and correct interpretation of arterial blood gas results is necessary in the operating room or intensive care unit. However, manual calculation and interpretation is tedious and prone to error. A computer system consisting of two programs written in BASIC has been created to address these problems. The program uses a series of decisions to arrive at a conclusion. Data generated by the Interpreter may be used by a subsequent program, the Manager, in determining ventilation parameters.Mesh:
