[Regulation of alpha-amylase biosynthesis in Pichia burtonii B].

G Moulin, P Galzy.

The synthesis of amylolytic enzymes by Pichia burtonii strain CBS 6141 requires the presence of etarch, maltose, and saccharose. Glucose exerts a strong repression which completely inhibited snzyme induction.
