Abstract
A case of orbital cellulitis in which the causative organism was Streptococcus faecalis--the first such case to the authors' knowledge--is reported. Although Hemophilus influenzae and pneumococci are most frequently encountered in orbital cellulitis, this case shows that Streptococcus faecalis may also be responsible. Prompt identification of the bacteria is urged.Entities:
