Abstract
The rapid growth of global pediatric surgery beyond direct care delivery into research, education, and advocacy necessitates re-evaluation of the traditional ethical paradigms which have governed our partnerships in low- and middle-income countries (LMIC). Within this paper, we consider current and emerging ethical challenges and discuss principles to consider in order to promote autonomous systems for pediatric surgical care in LMIC.Mesh:
