Abstract
INTRODUCTION: An accurate understanding of the current status of dog-bite injuries in Korea is essential for establishing preventive strategies. There have been no national reports about dog-bite injuries in Korea. This study investigated dog-bite injuries in Korea that were registered in the nationwide injury surveillance database and analysed the risk factors for significant dog-bite injury.Entities:

Fig 2The trends of dog-bite injuries from 2011 to 2016.
Both males and females showed increases in the rate of dog-bite injury from 2011 to 2016.
Fig 3Age-specific trends of dog-bite injuries from 2011 to 2016.
An increasing trend was observed for teenagers and adults, but there were no significant increasing trends in rates for any other age groups.
