Abstract
Ketoacidosis is uncommon in non-diabetic women, but occurs in the postpartum period as a rare complication of continuing to breastfeed during periods of acute illness. We report a case of a lactating woman who presented with severe symptomatic ketoacidosis in the early postpartum period. We also review the pathophysiology and management of lactation ketoacidosis.Entities:
