Abstract
This chapter provides information for the in vivo use of peripheral quantitative computed tomography in rats and mice to determine bone density and cortical geometric data, including suggestions for study design, instrument setting, and data interpretation. This update also provides guidance for the use of pQCT to extract muscle and fat cross-sectional area information from the bone scans.Entities:
