Abstract
Adolescents living with HIV tend to have poor adherence that often breeds HIV resistance mutations and virologic failure (VF). This study evaluated risk behavior, virologic outcomes and HIV resistance mutations in Tanzanian youth living with HIV. Participants were primarily perinatally infected and of mean age 16.7 years; among them 41.5% had VF. Those receiving first-line therapy demonstrated over 90% resistance to their current therapy.Entities:
