Abstract
A rare condition characterized by a transient inability to open one or both eyes upon awakening from sleep was first described in 1897. Although less than a handful of papers have been written about this condition since its initial description, a well-defined clinical entity emerges from the available literature. This article reviews the history and clinical features of this unusual condition.Entities:
