Abstract
Current knowledge about the diagnosis, treatment, and prognosis of neonatal seizures is reviewed. The pitfalls in establishing the diagnosis are emphasized and the usefulness of new electrodiagnostic techniques is discussed. A protocol for treating neonatal seizures is suggested. Finally, the clinical and electroencephalographic variables which are relevant in determining neurologic outcome are discussed.Entities:
