Physical quality of life was calculated by a formula of the physical component summary of 8-item short-form health survey (SF-8). Higher scores indicate better physical quality of life.
Mental quality of life was calculated by a formula of the mental component summary of SF-8. Higher scores indicate better mental quality of life.
Sleep quality was measured by Pittsburgh sleep quality index (Japanese version). Higher scores indicate poorer sleep quality.
Abbreviation: BMI, body mass index.
