Blood pressure monitoring.

Abstract

This article reviews several methods for the measurement and monitoring of systemic arterial blood pressure. Principles of operation of noninvasive and invasive devices are described. Techniques for insertion and maintenance of arterial catheters are discussed. Finally, complications and other problems of both noninvasive and invasive methods are presented.
