Abstract
A 52-year-old woman with newly diagnosed cervical carcinoma was referred an F-FDG PET/CT for staging. The PET/CT images demonstrated the known carcinoma and multiple enlarged lymph nodes with increased FDG activity. In addition, there was a focus of intense FDG activity characteristic of hypermetabolic malignancy in the region of gastric antrum. Finally, this lesion was confirmed as gastric ulcer by biopsy. This patient responded well to antiulcer treatment.Entities:
