The kinetics of target cell lysis by cytotoxic T lymphocytes: a description by Poisson statistics.

G Chu.

Abstract

The kinetics of T cell killing are analyzed with the assumption that encounters between killer and target cells occur at random. The application of Poisson statistics leads to a number of theoretical predictions which were then tested experimentally. Good agreement between data and theory was found.
