Improvise, Adapt, Overcome: mobile phone LED used as a light source for cystoscopy and resection of posterior urethral valves in a low-cost setting.

We describe use of an improvised light source to perform cystoscopy and PUV resection while working in a resource poor setting. The light emitted from a mobile telephone LED (iPhone 6) was sufficient to perform the procedure and there was an excellent surgical outcome.
