Abstract
Wound healing disturbances can be systemic or local. Systemic disturbances at this point can be diagnosed but not necessarily treated. In the future, these disturbances may be reversed with a specific drug. More importantly, local factors responsible for most of the disturbances in wound healing seen in the emergency department are often under the control of the physician. These can be diagnosed and, frequently, corrected.Mesh:
