Tumor-Infiltrating Lymphocytes-Location for Prognostic Evaluation.

Michael Peled1, Amir Onn2, Roy S Herbst3.

Abstract

Tumor-infiltrating lymphocytes (TIL) are crucial for the success of immunotherapy, and their density can predict prognosis. It has now been shown that computer-based analysis of the spatial organization of TILs adds prognostic value in early-stage non-small cell lung cancer, possibly improving the treatment algorithm to prevent recurrence.See related article by Corredor et al., p. 1526. ©2018 American Association for Cancer Research.
