International trends in the economics of breast examination.

An international survey of the economics of ultrasound breast examination was performed by a questionnaire-enquête method. The rate of effective reply from the questionnaire was 63.7%. This survey-data is presented at SURVEYS 1 to 8. Nine scattergrams showing the cost performance of breast echography are presented. The best cost performance, internationally, can be achieved by mechanical and real-time electronic linear scanners.
