Abstract
Spontaneous coronary artery dissection (SCAD) is a rare and potentially lethal cause of chest pain and myocardial infarction in healthy young individuals. It more commonly affects females and has been correlated with hormonally-induced connective tissue changes in pregnancy and oral contraceptive use. We present the case of a previously healthy 39-year-old woman with multivessel SCAD associated with recent clomiphene and gonadotropin therapy for infertility, which is not a previously reported association, and we assert that this should be in the differential diagnosis of such patients with chest pain or myocardial infarction.Entities:
