Abstract
Hypertrophic obstructive cardiomyopathy in Libman-Sacks endocarditis is quite rare and the correct etiological relationship between them is unknown. Some changes may cause a secondary disorganization of the ordinary muscle structure, making a disarray pattern with irregular interwoven myocyte fibers. This case report describes one of the first cases of ventricular septal myectomy and mitral valve replacement for hypertrophic obstructive cardiomyopathy and mitral valve regurgitation associated with Libman-Sacks endocarditis.Entities:
