Abstract
Aneurysms of the iliac veins are very rare but are potentially fatal due to their potential to cause thromboembolic complications or even rupture. We herein report an unusual case of bilateral external iliac venous aneurysms in a 50-year-old male long-distance runner who presented with bilateral groin pain. The aneurysms were successfully treated with tangential aneurysmectomy with lateral venorrhaphy. Possible causes and management of iliac venous aneurysms are also discussed in this article.Entities:
