In the Line of Fire: Should Urologists Stop Prescribing Fluoroquinolones as Default?

Gernot Bonkat1, Florian Wagenlehner2.

Abstract

Fluoroquinolone use might be associated with serious side effects. Urologists should always consider these potential risks associated with fluoroquinolones and participate in a shared-decision making process with each patient. It is critical to strictly follow guidelines when prescribing fluoroquinolones.
