Abstract
Osteoarthritis (OA) is a debilitation condition that affects millions of North Americans. Aside from weight loss, activity modification, and joint replacement, little else has been effective in delaying the progression of OA or treating the symptoms of OA. Ortho-biologics have become a popular treatment option in a variety of musculoskeletal conditions, including OA. In this article, the authors explore the use of 4 key ortho-biologics in the treatment of OA, all of which have shown promising results in the literature, despite the lack of large randomized controlled trials.Entities:
