Abstract
The treatment of invasive fungal infections has deeply evolved in recent years with the inclusion of new antifungals to the therapeutic treatment arsenal. A new azole, isavuconazole, has been recently approved. This review focuses on the role of isavuconazole for treating the most important invasive fungal infections: invasive candidiasis, aspergillosis, mucormicosis, infections caused by other filamentous fungi and those caused by dimorphic fungi.Entities:
