Utilizing Buprenorphine in the Emergency Department after Overdose.

Abstract

The United States is currently in the midst of an opioid epidemic. Barriers to treatment in the emergency department can lead to missed opportunities for helping prevent overdose and relapse in individuals with opioid use disorder. The administration of buprenorphine in the emergency department can potentially lead to better treatment outcomes for these individuals. Published by Elsevier Ltd.
