Abstract
Disease entities affecting the paranasal sinuses and nasopharynx are now evaluated primarily by computed tomography (CT) and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). Cortical bone is best seen by CT, particularly with thin sections and high-resolution bone mode. Bone marrow and various soft-tissue structures are best evaluated by MRI. This article is a demonstration of the normal anatomy of the area as depicted by both CT and MRI.Mesh:
