Confounding factors including age, sex, BMI, hypertension, diabetes mellitus and so on according to results of demographic data by serum TG, TC, HDL and LDL. Moreover, the members of lipid profiles were also considered as confounding factors. For example, if there were differences in terms of the levels of TC, LDL or HDL between high TG and normal group, the status of TC, LDL or HDL would be considered as a confounding factor when evaluating the independent impact of TG on 24-h urine composition
