Abstract
Research involving transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS) in child and adolescent psychiatry is limited. Early, short-term studies have found tDCS to be safe and well-tolerated in youth with neurodevelopmental disorders (attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder, autism, learning disorders). Preliminary data suggest potential utility in symptom reduction and improving cognitive function. Further careful research considering implications for the developing brain is necessary.Entities:
