Cystosarcoma phylloides treated by excision and immediate reconstruction with silicon implant.

Abstract

A case of cystosarcoma phylloides in an 11-year-old girl is described. Excision was followed immediately by reconstruction with a silicon implant. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first report of this technique in an adolescent girl. The etiology, incidence, diagnosis, and treatment of cystosarcoma phylloides are described.
