Abstract
Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is one of the most common malignant tumors in China, primary liver transplantation (PLT) and hepatic resection are thought to be the prime and more reasonable treatment. But due to the situation of donor shortage and a higher risk of tumor recurrence, salvage liver transplantation (SLT) is gradually being applied to the patients with HCC, and is confirmed as an effective and feasible treatment for patients. However, the indications and transplantation criteria for SLT still remain controversial. This article reviews the benefits and controversies of SLT and provides an effective reference for the clinical practice.Entities:
