Abstract
Short-term renal allograft survival has improved more quickly than long-term outcomes. Analysis of more than 100,000 deceased donor renal transplants in Europe from 1986 to 2015 identified a declining rate of improvement in 1-year, death-censored graft survival but a continued improvement in longer-term survival, with a year-on-year 3% reduction in the risk of graft failure. These reassuring observations likely reflect improved overall transplant management rather than specific advances.Entities:
