Abstract
17-oxidation and 2- and 16 alpha-hydroxylation of oestradiol show important correlations with biological aspects of breast cancer in women and mice. The presence of mouse mammary tumour virus may lead to increased 16 alpha-hydroxylation. 16 alpha-hydroxyoestrone (which may be generated in an autocrine manner) forms covalent linkages with amino groups on proteins and nucleotides.Entities:
