Abstract
Focused echocardiography has become increasingly important for bedside diagnostics in acute medicine. Focused echocardiography can detect various cardiac pathologies, such as pericardial effusion, left ventricular dysfunction, right heart strain, relevant heart valve defects and dissection of the ascending aorta.
