Abstract
The motor and sensory branches of the somatic peripheral nervous system (PNS) can be visualised by different imaging systems. This article focuses on imaging of peripheral nerves by magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and high-resolution ultrasound (US). The anatomic basis of the peripheral nerve image, common pathologies and clinical value of US and MRI imaging of peripheral nerves are reviewed.Entities:
