Abstract
Paediatricians generally have good skills in the assessment and management of attention deficit hyperactivity disorder. In most cases this is not difficult - the paediatrician's role is clear, and evidence-based treatment can be delivered. There are however some clinical situations which present diagnostic, ethical and/or management dilemmas for paediatricians in relation to possible attention deficit hyperactivity disorder.
